Released in 1968, this album is one of the works by Miles Davis, whose birth centennial is celebrated this year.
Recorded in New York in June and September of the same year, the album captures a transitional period in Davis’s career, both in terms of its lineup and its sound, bridging the gap between the Second Great Quintet and his forthcoming electric era.
