いよいよ今週末、RiprapにてOH! GODのポップアップを開催します。
今回、OH! GODのTシャツを作りたいと思った時に、真っ先に相談したのが Riprap の西野くんでした。
西野くんとは、本間良二くんと一緒に2-tacsをやっていた頃からなので、なんだかんだでもう20年くらいのお付き合い。
昔から彼の洋服に対する愛情やこだわりには、いつも感心させられます。
今回相談した時も、二つ返事で「やりましょう」と言ってくれたのが、とても嬉しかった。
最初から、こちらが指定したものをただ作ってもらうのではなく、ちゃんとRiprapの商品としても扱えるプロダクトにしてほしいと思っていました。
こちらからのリクエストは、ほぼひとつ。
「OH! GODのロゴをかっこよく見せたい」
それだけでした。
あとは西野くんにお任せ。
そして予想通り、いいものが出来上がりました。
西野くんならではの安心感と、遊び心と、ファッション性。やっぱりお願いしてよかったなと思っています。
そんなTシャツたちを、いよいよ今週末Riprapでお披露目します。
ロンT2型に加えて、マイルス＆ガンさんのフォトTも並びます。
レコードもOH! GODからセレクトして持っていきます。

The OH! GOD Pop-Up at Riprap starts this weekend!
When I first thought about making OH! GOD T-shirts, the very first person I reached out to was Nishino-kun from Riprap.
We’ve known each other for about 20 years now, going back to the days when he was working on 2-tacs with Ryoji Honma. Time really flies.I’ve always admired his deep love and obsession with clothing.
So when I brought up this idea and he instantly said, “Let’s do it,” I was absolutely thrilled.From the beginning, I didn’t want him to just manufacture something to our exact specifications.
I wanted it to be a true collaborative piece—something that genuinely feels like a Riprap product.Our request was simple, pretty much just one thing:”Make the OH! GOD logo look cool.”That was it.
I left the rest entirely in his hands.And just as expected, he nailed it.The pieces balance his signature sense of quality and comfort with a playful, highly fashionable edge.
I’m so glad we teamed up with him.We’re finally debuting these T-shirts at Riprap this weekend.Along with two styles of long-sleeve tees, we’ll also have photo tees featuring Miles & Gann.
On top of that, I’ll be bringing a curated selection of vinyl records from OH! GOD.
It’s a two-day event on Saturday, September 19th and Sunday, September 20th.We’d love for you to come by and hang out!
